One day our guide Yumiko and I took a guy from Singapore around Tokyo.
First we met at JR Kichijoji Station and we walked to Yodobashi Camera to get something.
And then we went to "Okashi no Machioka" to get some snacks for his friends.
They sell Japanese snacks at affordable prices.
He wanted to buy some CDs and DVDs, so I asked him to go to "Book off".
"Book off" is very polular second hand shop selling & buying CDs, Books(including Comics) & DVDs.
He got many Japanese CDs there. There were not new but the condition was not bad at all.
Then we went to Animate Kichijoji. He was addicited to Japanese anime. He was looking for a "One-piece" figures. But unfortunately we couldn't find it there.
("One piece" is a title of a famous Japanese anime series.)
So we decided to got to NAKANO BROADWAY. we got on JR train to go to Nakano Sta.
"Nakano Broadway" is the name of the building.
They sell many kinds of figures, comics, posters, costumes, toys, comics and so on..
(NAKANO BROADWAY OFFICIAL WEB in English)
(NAKANO BROADWAY OFFICIAL WEB in JAPANESE)
(They have French, Chinese & Korean site currently.)
If you are interested in Japanese Anime, I recommend you to go there.
As you know, Akihabara is now very popular among anime fans from all over the world,
but sometimes intricate roads are difficult to understand for tourists.
But Nakano Broadway is easy to access.
Just get off JR Nakano Station and go out the station by the North exit.
